Nothing better than a great shoe find! I made a quick trip to Nordstrom Rack in search of tees and tanks for my girls yesterday.
Sadly, they still have nothing to wear in this record heat we are experiencing in Seattle right now but I found some great shoes for myself!
I just happened to glance down the shoe aisle on the way to the kid’s section and these practically jumped out at me!
Camo, Stuart Weitzman, half price. Need I say more?
I can always shop for the girls tomorrow…

Since I have had my camo pants, I’ve been wearing them pretty casually. T-shirts and converse have been my go-to. But one night I decided to wear them out for dinner with friends, so I checked Pinterest for inspiration (of course, I did).
Pinterest my research, I came up with these combinations:
#1 – black tee, long black cardigan, camo pants and black sandals. This combination looked and felt heavy and masculine. It just didn’t feel good at all, so I quickly changed.
#2 – long striped top from Anthropologie, camo pants and black wedges. This look definitely felt way better than the first! I think the lighter colour of the top and the wedges made it feel more feminine. I’ve seen lots of images pairing stripes with camo, but I wasn’t convinced that I should wear it out.
#3 – top from Anthropologie, skinny black pants from Gap and flat black sandals. no camo. I was in a rush and needed to quickly get dressed, so I swapped the camo pants for black pants. Safe, easy and I felt good.
With a little more time and
Pinterest research, I should be able to style and wear my camo pants for a night out.
How do you wear your camo pants out in the evening?

I have wanted camo pants like forever. Well, for a few years anyway. I’ve pinned them, followed bloggers who wear them, and tried on a few pairs, too. But I wasn’t able to find the right pair. Until recently.
An unexpected stop in a Gap Factory Outlet and what to my wondering eyes should appear? Two different styles of camo pants!! It didn’t take long to figure out that the skinny boyfriend pair were the pair for me. The other slimmer pair were a perfect match for my tall slim friend. Lucky us!
I had pinned this image just before I found my pants:
It was Lindsay from The Pleated Poppy and I thought to myself, “Hey, this is one look you can totally do.” So, I did.
I’m wearing a top from TNA, Stella & Dot necklace and Converse. My Converse definitely need a wash, or maybe I need a new pair? Hmm…
Either way, this was one easy and successful Pinned & Tried.
